During the December holiday season, AsiaSat employees flocked together and celebrated the year end carnival they deserved after a whole year's hard work.
The decoration and the theme of the party were well fitted with the new brand launched in 2015, one of the major initiatives of the company over the past year. It started with 4 game booths outside the dining lobby symbolizing the company's brand values: Dependable props, Insightful shooters, CommitTED to Teddy, and PartneRing (as you can see the values were embedded in the booth names in a playful way) .
As much as staff and guests enjoyed the game booths, the night was ignited by long service award presentation to dedicated employees who have been contributing their diligence and hard work for a significant amount of time in their lives, as well as the award to outstanding employee of the year. Rome was not built in one day, and AsiaSat's success would never be here without many and many employees like them, who truly demonstrated our excellent tradition and the reliable qualities even before we started to summarize them into our brand.
Another annual "employee family event" was held in the midst of laughter of our staff at AsiaSat Beijing Representative Office.
This was the day that our colleagues in China and their family members all got together, summed up the work over the past year, exchanged expectations for a new year in several intense and entertaining games: Acupressure Relay, Tearing off Tags, Invincible Hot Wheels and Race Against Time. People are competing in a light and happy mood for the whole afternoon.
Each game was held in groups of 3 teammates each. The tasks were highly depending on close cooperation between teammates and the competition was a fair test for mutual understanding and tacit agreement established during the daily work between them.
The games were challenging in a way that required close cooperation among group members. Cheering crowd surrounded, everyone did their best to be a trusted teammate that people can rely on (Dependable, Partnering), and strived to achieve better results (Ever Better). Even in some unfortunate cases such as other players being eliminated, one still worked as three, struggling back, and never gave up (Committed).
During dinner, Mr. Zhang Haiming, Vice President, China of AsiaSat gave the ‘10-year Service Award’ medal to After-sales Technical Manager Yao Lingfeng in recognition and appreciation of his years of dedicated work for the company.
We had a busy year in 2015, with the key events for the company, a significant rebrand as it looks to position ourselves for growth. This is the first rebrand exercise since our establishment in 1988. With the introduction of new brand elements, we have re-energized the company not only externally, but also internally with a push to change the company culture.
As always, we are feeling constant thrust to going forward in 2016, with more momentum to be continued.
