Earth Station Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of RF systems and antenna systems
- Responsible for project management of the RF systems and antenna systems
- Responsible for support and maintenance of all earth station baseband equipment, carrier monitoring system, terrestrial equipment and test equipment
- Responsible for support and maintenance of digital video baseband equipment and digital IP satellite communication equipment operation, such as MCPC and iDirect systems
- Responsible for the equipment setup for turnaround service
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of Teleport and Building infrastructure
- Provide and implement traffic failure restoration plans when necessary
- Provide satellite IOT support and traffic uplink & downlink services when necessary
- Provide support to internal and external customers. Occasional travel within the region and to overseas may be required
- Attend emergency call-out, special assignment and typhoon duties when necessary
- Willing and able to work in a rotational shift schedule
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma in Electronic or Communication Engineering or Building Service with minimum 3 years' relevant experience in RF & tracking antenna system operation & maintenance or Building Service maintenance.
- Candidate has less academic background but with more than 3 years' relevant experience will also be considered
- Experienced in digital video baseband equipment and digital IP satellite communication network operation, such as MCPC and iDirect systems, or experienced in M&C and BMS system
- Teleport and Earth Station facilities operation
- Good communication skills, able to work independently under pressure
- Good PC knowledge, IP technology, Microsoft office and Visio drawing
- Good written and spoken English. Fluent Putonghua

Sales Director
Reporting to Senior Vice President of Commercial, Business Development and strategy, Sales Director is responsible for achieving the company growth and targets for new business and managing existing accounts for both media and data services at the International Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the sales plan to achieve the company’s revenue and growth objectives/targets
- Analyze market, trends, customer segmentation and competitor activity, to determine target customer and sales planning per region or data products
- Provide market intelligence feedback. Support business and product planning to allow the company to have distinct advantages over competition
- Define strategic sales initiatives, generate sales leads and close contracts
- Regularly update sales pipeline to allow accurate forecasting of our existing products and services. Feedback on new ideas for improvement and innovation to influence production enhancement or launching of new products
Requirements:
- University education with backgrounds in Engineering, Information Technology or Business
- Strong sales track record in satellite communication, satellite/VSAT equipment or telecom with a minimum of 7 years’ experience
- In-depth knowledge of the satellite media and data services such as VSAT, broadband or mobility
- Insight of its current & future products and solutions
- Strong understanding of satellite and technology trends to enable the ability to identify and predict customer needs and demands and execute action plans to deliver the results
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Other additional languages considered as an advantage
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for Senior Regional Manager

Vice President – International Sales
The Role:

We are looking for Vice President – International Sales who are solutions-sales driven, resourceful and energetic to join us.
- Assisting the Chief Commercial Officer to spearhead commercial opportunities for the International Sales team. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge and industry experience in the satellite industry and will be expected to make an immediate impact. He/She will have group/individual sales targets and closely work with internal departments to ensure successful closing of the sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the International Sales team in defining strategy, planning and delivery of company’s group wide strategic initiatives. This will include aligning directions, developing and executing the sales plans to acquire new business to achieve the company’s revenue targets
- Meet revenue goals and update sales pipelines to allow accurate forecasting of our existing solutions and services
- Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory regime, technology innovation, new commercial products, competitors solutions development in order to access market environment and market potential for partnership and investment opportunities in media business.
- Lead activities for ad hoc projects that are being identified as per request from the management team of AsiaSat
Requirements:
- University education in Engineering, Information Technology or Business
- In-depth knowledge in the telecom and satellite industry with minimum 10 years’ experience working in a sales role and customer management
- Strong understanding of satellite and technology trends to enable the ability to identify and predict customer needs and demands and execute action plans to deliver the results
- Ability to provide sector-focused advice on the sale process from strategic positioning to close, and help execute acquisitions, alliances and mergers
- A strong team player, ability to motivate and inspire a team to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Other additional languages will be an advantage
- Ability to operate within a high pressure environment under tight deadlines
- High level of personal integrity, and adhere to a strict company code of conduct
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
