The combined effect of natural perturbations and stationkeeping manoeuvres causes a satellite to drift around its orbital slot typically within plus or minus 0.05º. When a satellite drifts within plus or minus 0.005º of its orbital position, the satellite is considered at its "Box Centre". This is the ideal time to align ground antenna pointing for optimal signal quality.
Should you need to find the 'Centre of Box' of any of AsiaSat's satellites, please send an e-mail specifying the satellite, your name, company name, and contact email address to CNC@asiasat.com.
