Food Angel is a food rescue and food assistance program launched in 2011 by Bo Charity Foundation.

Their mission of “WASTE NOT, HUNGER NOT” starts with a program that rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste.

We have enjoyed working with Food Angel in the past, volunteering to help prepare the surplus food and pack meal portions into boxes to be sent out to those that need it in Hong Kong. AsiaSat was lucky enough to be invited to present some of these boxes to a nearby elderly centre, where some of the recipients were eagerly awaiting their hot dinner.
